The Ikom monoliths are a progression of volcanic-stone monoliths from the region of Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria. it is assessed that the monoliths may have been engraved between the sixteenth and twentieth century CE. The monoliths were occupied by the Ekoi individuals who live in dispersed towns. The stone monoliths are referred to differently as Akwanshi or Atal or Alaptal. Numbering around 300 altogether, the monoliths are somewhere in the range of 0.3 and 1.8 meters (1 and 6 feet) high, and are spread out in approximately 30 circles situated around Alok in the Ikom region of Cross River State. Since Cross River was isolated, it presently has a place with Akwa Ibom State. The monoliths are phallic in structure and some components adapted faces just as beautiful examples and engravings. In spite of the fact that the carvings have not been interpreted, scientists and etymologists accept that the engravings may speak to a type of composing and visual correspondence
