U.J. ESUENE STADIUM

The U. J. Esuene Stadium is a multi-reason sports arena in Calabar, Nigeria. The stadium has a capacity of 16,000 and it was officially opened on the 2nd of April 1977.

The U.J Esuene Stadium is the home ground for Calabar Rovers and previously Dolphins F.C. of Port Harcourt.

The stadium first hosted the match between Benin's Bendel Insurance F.C. and the newly formed Calabar Rovers of Calabar. And Two weeks later, the stadium hosted an international encounter between Enugu Rangers and Tonnerre Yaoundé - a game that featured the likes of Roger Milla, Christian Chukwu, and Emmanuel Okala.

The U.J. Esuene stadium has over time played host to the 2003 All-Africa Games held in October 2013, and also Nigeria's qualifiers for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
